Research project

“A solution for flexible respite: organizational innovation based on digital tools” 2023- 2026

Project summary:

The ANAAIS device allows a caregiver to “order a break” and to be put in direct contact with a relay relayer/home worker through a mobile application.

It is a management tool that meets the needs of family caregivers in terms of flexible respite and promotes the efficiency of services.

This combination of digital tools, combined with support from the community providing respite services, makes this organizational social innovation possible.

The objective of the research project is to set up an inclusive, usable, and applicable digital respite system in the participating organizations; to document the barriers and facilitators to implementing the system in the identified real environments; to co-develop training material and an implementation guide with and for users.

Resulting from a co-construction approach, this research project was initiated by the team of Professor Véronique Provencher from the University of Sherbrooke.
